For Students

Courses

The Laboratory of Imaging Technologies provides several courses at the undergraduate (level 1), master's (level 2) and doctoral (level 3) programmes at Universtiy of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering that are part of Biomedical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies and Robotics studies.

The courses are performed by our members with strong and contenmporary research background. The lectures enriched with topics from invited professionals are combined with practically oriented lab work, establishing a favorable environment for passing the knowledge to future generations of engineers.

Biomedical Engineering (BME)

The Laboratory of Imaging Technologies is part of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Universtiy of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Biomedical engineering (BME), often referred to simply as medical engineering, is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes.

Besides medical imaging and biomedical optics, which are the fundamental areas of study in the Laboratory of Imaging Technologies, BME is a multidisciplinary field that encompasses areas such as bioinformatics, biomechanics, biomaterials, medical devices, clinical and rehabilitation engineering, and also regulatory issues.
