Optical system for digital holographic microscopy

The digital holographic microscopy system includes an optical table with active vibration damping and a modular inverted optical microscope with accessories for performing an interferometric layout for digital holographic microscopy. The optical microscope is fully motorized and allows, through two platforms, a direct access to the optical path and thus the possibility of external extensions with different optical systems. Basically, optical microscopy enables bright field microscopy with Köller illumination, phase contrast and differential interference contrast microscopy, epifluorescence microscopy and polarization microscopy. The optical microscope accessories include a wide range of optical lenses, optical adapters and adapters for fixing various samples. The extension for digital holographic microscopy includes two high-coherence laser systems, a wavefront modulation system, a scanning system and modular optical components for optical path adjustment, and the implementation of interferometric systems on an optical table.

Determination of optical properties of bulk media

The system for the determination of the optical properties of bulk media includes the determination of the refractive index with a refractometer, and the determination of the scattering properties and the absorption coefficient by spatially distinguished reflectance spectroscopy, which is performed using a multi-channel spectrometer system. The refractometer enables accurate and reproducible measurement of the refractive index at several wavelengths. Measurements can be made on solid elastic as well as on liquid samples, while precisely controlling the temperature of the sample, which can considerably affect the dispersion curve. The multi-channel spectrometer system enables computer-synchronized and fast capture of light spectra supplied by optical fibers. The sensitivity of spectrometers comprises the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared regions of the spectrum.
